Freelance Medical Writing Rates
Medical writing projects vary widely in scope and complexity, which is why fixed, one-size-fits-all pricing rarely makes sense. Experience also plays a key role: senior writers may charge higher rates, but often deliver faster, with fewer revisions, providing better overall value.
To support transparency, I share indicative price ranges for common fixed-fee projects on this site. These are intended as a guide only; the final fee is always agreed in advance and tailored to your specific project.
I'm also available for hourly support and offer reduced rates for non-profit or academic organisations.

Conference abstract
Three full drafts plus development of figure or table, fact check and proofread, submission.
Original research article
Development of outline plus three full drafts, development of figures and tables, fact-check and proofread, cover letter development, journal submission and addressing reviewer comments.
Review article
Narrative literature review plus development of manuscript as per original research article.
Meeting report
Includes attendance at the meeting (e.g., advisory board, steering committee, symposia) and development of report, including executive summary.
Manuscript editing service
Substantive English language editing, proofreading, top level scientific content review, and formatting in accordance with journal guidelines.
Manuscript fact-checking service
Checking manuscript content against source data and cited references.
